Economic optimization of bull fattening
نویسندگان
چکیده
A low efficiency of bull fattening resulted in a decrease of beef production in Poland. One of the possibilities of the improvement of fattening efficiency is a proper choice of decisions concerning the course of a fattening process. Making the optimal decisions can be supported by means of dynamic programming (DP) models, using the hierarchic Markov process (HMP) technique. The models developed in the presented study optimize decisions with respect to time of the termination of fattening process in various production approaches including: breed, scale of production and intensity of fattening.

متن کاملConsequences of hazardous dietary calcium deficiency for fattening bulls
BACKGROUND Deficient mineral supplementation on a feedlot farm resulted in severe clinical manifestations in fattening bulls. Animals mistakenly received only 60-70% of the recommended calcium intake, while simultaneously receiving twice the amount of phosphorus recommended. Thus, the dietary Ca/P ratio was severely distorted. After approximately six months on such a diet, four fattening bulls ...

In this study, production, population and economic parameters of 30 buffalo herds of Khuzestan province in two sale conditions during 2016-2017 were used to estimate the economic value for production, reproductive and survival traits. Economic value of the traits were estimated by one unit increase for each trait using the maximum profit trend. The average annual revenue, cost and profit per he...
متن کاملLEIA - low-end image analysis to continously monitorgrowth and body conformation of fattening pigs
Variability within a group of animals is an important information which can be used for further optimization of pig fattening. Hence, this project will provide a generic methodology to continuously monitor the differences of growth and body conformation within a group of animals using a set of robust and simple, i.e. low-end image analysis (LEIA) algorithms. The methodology will be breed indepe...
